Friday Scout Programme – Autumn 2023

Meeting times are 7.30-9pm in the Scout Hall and 7-8.30pm in Bonaly School unless noted otherwise

Please note Scouts don’t need phones at Scouts and we don’t wish to see any phones in use while at Scouts.

For Bonaly School, please use the door into the main hall from Bonaly Grove.  Please bring a water bottle to drink if required as we are not meant to use the water fountains.

If you cannot make it to a meeting, please let us know before the meeting as follows:

Please wear scout uniform (shirt and necker) unless told otherwise. When full uniform is not required, please wear a necker.  Please bring water too.

Winter Programme 2024

23rd February

As – 7:30pm at Scout Hall – Pancake night

Bs – WHEC – Swimming – meet at Wester Hailes swimming pool at 7.30pm sharp.  The scouts will be paying for your entry at 7.30 but if you are late then please bring the money in case we have gone in.  You will need swimming things, towel and possibly a drink.   Scouts wishing to gain their Level 1, 2 or 3 Swimmer Badge will be able to do so.  Please bring a T-Shirt to swim in for Level 3.  The Swimmer Badge requirements are here: swimmer

Expect to finish at 9pm.  Please let us know if you are not a confident swimmer so we can keep a close watch.  Scout uniform is not required.

1 March

15 March

As & Bs together – A hike, meeting at the trim trail at the Polo Fields at 19:30. Pick up the same place at 21:00. Please bring a head torch, waterproof jacket and trousers, walking boots, hat & gloves. Also, please bring a drink and a snack in a small daysack. It’s still winter so everyone needs to be prepared for cold and wet conditions.

22 March

As & Bs together – 7:30pm at Bonaly Country Park – Easter egg hunt, widegames and sausage sizzle

20th – 21st April – Bothy Camp, Stanhope Hope Bothy (for younger, less experienced Scouts)

3rd – 6th May – Adventure Camp (for older, more experienced Scouts.  Applications closed)

11th – 12th May – Wilderness Camp

31st May to 2nd June 2024 – Watersports Camp, Lochgoilhead – Scout Adventure Centre

21st – 23rd June – Greenfield Patrol Camp, Selkirk

4 – 9th August – Summer Camp, Ford
